Well, after tallying the votes, Three threads wins the day. The count is
Three threads 6, Two Threads 4, so it is mathematically impossible, even
with Doc's vote, for Two Threads to win the day. Unless the other people
Doc' mentioned ALL vote for Two threads. (Or unless Doc' uses his powers
of "persuasion" and forces everyone to submit to his will ;^) )

*Strago mutters, "I wish I had a comprehensive list of all the people who

Stop complaining. :)

Okay, people, I'm posting a list of ALL the people involved in the
project, plus their votes. As indicated by the headings, the first
group are writers, the second are editors and the third are planners.
If you're volunteered to write AND edit, you're only listed under
writers in the list, although I know who you are.

If any of you are listed in the wrong place (e.g. I've said you're
writing, but you only intended to help with the planning) let me know
so I can alter my records.

If you want to be involved in the project, but I haven't listed your
name, again, let me know what it is you want to do so I can keep track
of things.

If you've voted and I've missed your vote, let me know what it is. And
if you HAVEN'T voted, but you're involved in the project then VOTE!
Vote early! Vote often! Vote the way the troll with the gun tells you
to! (That would be me...:) )

ok, I know this might be too late... if it is, I go with whatever was voted
before... in case of a tie, I vote for the 3 threads (or 2.5 anyways) since
I think it will be more fun, if a bit more complicated.

PLEASE TELL ME THAT THAT BREAKS THE 8-8 TIE. PLEASE. Either way, 3 threads
wins, but at least this way we aren't tweaking.

Actually, if you MUST know, I voted for two threads. I was just pointing out what
Doc' said, that when you gave the writers two votes as opposed to one, three threads
was the winner. I'm not trying to bully anyone about getting my own way . . . at least
until it comes to my story. Then I'll fight to save every word with tooth and claw and
claymore and SMG and FN-HAR and Panther Assault Cannon if I have to. I've done it
before, I'll do it again. Every word is gospel. Just like this message.

So, what's the word? Two, three, what are we doing?

Obviously no-one wants to change their vote (though GreyWolf
mentioned it. So, if you're going to do that, do it quick, and we can
continue). The vote weighing thing (2 votes for writers) is something
I don't much care for, but if there's nothing else to be done, then lay
down that law, project leader.
Incidentally, I don't see why this has to be written in stone. If
the majority says one thing, and we find it later on to be unworkable,
then can't we switch? Granted, that's more work we could have avoided,
but no-one's perfect, and show me one piece of writing that came out
sparkling after the first draft.

You know, I already know how to break this tie... I originally voted for 3
threads, but Doc didn't log it, and mailed me individually, and I told himt
hen I wanted to change my vote to 2 threads. So the tie is broken, my vote
is listed here as 3, but it is 2... I just noticed this. Its 2 threads.

<chuckle>
This is getting funny at times. If ayla changes her vote, than my vote
makes it a tie again. If I'd voted for 2 threads, even with weighting,
it would be tied again... Whichever way it falls, I'm good for either
side. I think the 2.5/3 thread idea could be more fun. And like Murder
of One said, we can always drop back to two if we find 3 unworkable
later. If anything you write comes out sparkling clear in the first
draft, you're the ubermenschen of writing and should have extensive
series' of novels published :) Anyways, sorry about my earlier lack of
responsiveness, I'm getting over bronchitis and have had some slight
computer/ISP troubles. All fixed now, and email will be checked at least
once a day.

cast the deciding vote. Must check though...will get back to you guys.

Actually, it DOES have to be more or less set in stone. The basic
premises for the two ideas are different. With two threads, if Cliber
is found at all, she's only found right near the end. With three, she
turns up in the FIRST STORY and is passed around a bit until being lost
near the end. Believe me, there are enough differences in the basic
ideas to make it unfeasible to switch between them.

<chuckle>
All fixed now, and email will be checked at least
once a day.

Actually, no, I was counting you as a 2, Renee.

Anyway, that doesn't really matter as it looks to me like Demonnic has
cast the deciding vote. Must check though...will get back to you guys.
Sorry about the delay.
