UCAS team’s infiltration Doc’ 5-203-194?
Renraku team’s infiltration and ambush of UCAS Mockingbird

Shadow team’s infiltration Aaron Binns B4-123
Media story Aco (123-30)?
Troll ganger story Tay-Dor 133-148
Vampire story Ayla Renee ?
Dwarf B&E story Logan Graves ?
How to explain? "AI" story Tamino (150-194)?
Leech serum retrieval Strago (51-80)?
Finale ? (40-50)?

? Ahuizotl ?
? Rat ?

Some of Aco’s media story may be set right at the start. Depends on
what he does exactly. I’m still not exactly sure on what Ahuizotl and
Rat are doing. Everything between the shadow team infiltration and
Strago’s tale is up in the air as far as ordering goes, but both Aco’s
and Tay-Dor’s will likely happen in the order listed due to location.
Tay-Dor’s involves the labyrinth, so the location is fairly set. Aco,
the floors I’ve listed would be good ones for you to use. Level 122 is
used by the Greens, but has a lot of trideo equipment and levels
123-130 are mostly abandoned. There is (or was) a resistance group on
floors 126-128 which could be useful - they could be the group your
newsies were in contact with. I have absolutely no idea where Renee
wants to set hers. Same with Logan. Tamino’s story location is a
suggestion based on the fact that he’s dealing with the Renraku team
(probably) and they’re going to be moving down. It could also be set
lower if it is placed near the end. Strago’s location is a suggestion
based on where everyone is moving to. The finale location is pretty
set, unless we want to move further down. Level 41 is the highest
holding pen that would be of any use to us, so that’s where the shadow
team’s target will probably be. There, or level 40, where they do the
experimentation.

Oh, and Mockingbird - I was thinking about some problems I had with
your idea before. If you recall, I was wondering why Renraku was
sending a second team into Deus’ territory and how the first team would
avoid getting swatted by the anti-air defences? Well, if you haven’t
got any ideas, I think I have. The reason the second team had to go in
is because, after the Red Sammies took back part of the arc Deus had to
try to cut off all the I/O ports in that part of the building.
Otherwise the Renraku deckers could get inside easily. So either he had
his goons do it physically, or he packed the access ports with black
ice. So the only feasible way to get a decker in is from Deus
territory. This leads directly to the second point. The first part of
the second team’s distraction is to TAKE CONTROL OF THE ANTI-AIR
DEFENCES on the appropriate level. That lets the strike team land
safely. The second part of the distraction is the noisy stuff, which is
designed to stop Deus and his goons from noticing a) what they’ve done
to the anti-air defences and b) the strike team.

Anyway, that’d be my suggestion if you haven’t already gotten something
for it.

So a summary of the core teams’ movements:

UCAS team infiltrates level 6, grabs a lift and shoots up to somewhere
between levels 100 and 200. They are forced to change lifts once or
twice, have an encounter or two and get to level 203 where they meet
with Cliber (on the floor above her old offices – thought that might be
appropriate :) ). They get down to somewhere between levels 199 and 194
and are ambushed by the Renraku team. They meet the Resistance (UCAS
Team Infiltration) and work their way down to somewhere between levels
51 and 80 where they temporarily link up with the shadow team to grab
the leech serum. (Leech Serum Retrieval) They then ambush the Renraku
team between levels 40 and 50 and the two survivors escape – probably –
without Cliber. (Finale)

Renraku team infiltrates via the helipad on level 220(? – not sure of
the exact level). They make their way down to 203, but miss Cliber.
They follow the UCAS team and ambush them between levels 199 and 194.
Then they keep heading down. (Renraku Team Infiltration) I’m not sure
where Mockingbird intends to finish with them, but somewhere between
where he finishes and level 50 is where Tamino’s story will take place.
(AI Story) They are then ambushed by the UCAS team between levels 40
and 50, lose Cliber and are all or mostly killed – probably. (Finale)

Shadow team infiltrates via Ork Underground on basement 4. They make
their way up to 123. (Shadow Team Infiltration) They run into Aco’s
media team (Media Story), and are then assisted through the labyrinth
by a troll ganger. (Troll Ganger Story) Once through they find out that
their target is down lower (sorry about that :) ) from resistance
members in all probability and head back – this time they bypass the
labyrinth. They find their target on level 40 or 41 and realise they
aren’t going to be able to free her intact. Said resistance members are
likely to have mentioned the leech serum, so they realise they need to
get this and manage to find a resistance team between levels 51 and 80.
They get the serum and head back down (Leech Serum Retrieval), freeing
their target in the nick of time (?) and escaping into the Ork
Underground again. (Finale)

This leaves Ahuizotl’s, Logan’s, Rat’s and Renee’s stories. You’ll
notice that the Renraku team and UCAS team only feature in one
intermediary story each, compared to three for the shadow team, so if
you guys can work your stories in with them, it would be good.

Sorry about the formatting of the table if it's out. Try pasting it
into a Word document if you can, as that's what I was working in.

If I've gotten anything wrong, speak up!

Okay, well we need some data from you as well. I've given you a BASIC
outline. Apart from that, most places and occurrences are negotiable.
What exactly do you intend to have your boy do - and about when on the
time frame do you think it'll fit in?

Twas my understanding that the target was going to be in one of the green
rooms above the labyrinth. Otherwise, my story is kinda stupid. I mean,
someone else has them meeting the resistance before my story.

Hmmm, My plan was to have him have a list of about 15 people he had to
infect... he does one at the beggining of the story, crosses it off his
list, and moves onto the next... This is whereI had planned to have him
cross paths with the Shadow team.. etiehr at the end, his target is Cliber,
or in the middle somewhere... maybe his target is the troll they'v goten, or
just someone that he takes in a quiet corridor, and as he's doing his deed
they turn down it. What would happen after that is negotiable. I'd rather
the character survive, but thats not a hhuge deal to me... what I'm thinking
is they decide to save their freind/cliber/the stranger... maybe even a
member of the team? Battle, he flees back into the walls, and begins tailign
them quietly, mixed purpose to get his tartert or get out,... whichever...
If he goes for Cliber though, it opens up all kinds of possibilities. Thats
the idea I like best personaly.

It does - in which case it'd actually probably be better if you focused
on the Renraku team, as they're the ones who'll be with Cliber for most
of the book.

How about this - your vampire starts looking for his next target - who
happens to be Cliber - and stumbles across the Renraku team. He follows
them until Cliber is temporarily separated from the team (going to the
ladies room, perhaps? :) ). The Renraku team finds him as he's trying
to grab her, though, and the rest goes along pretty much with your
plan.

That means you can locate your episode anywhere between levels 51 and
189, approximately.

Not exactly.

When I was having a look, I noticed that the only thing above the
labyrinth is the zombie room, and that's on level 250 or so. Which is
no good for our purposes, as the UCAS and Renraku teams are going to be
going DOWN after they get to Cliber, not UP.

I racked my brain and I thought of a reasonable way for this to occur.
The target HAS been in the zombie rooms and this is where the shadow
team think they're going to find her. However, she's flunked out of
Otaku training (one of the things they use the zombie rooms for) and so
they've sent her down to the holding pens to be experimented on. The
lower resistance cells know nothing about this, but someone in one of
the upper cells does. A while after the team gets past the labyrinth
they meet that cell and person and find out they need to go down again.
So they do.

It's a bit of a kludge, but I can't see any other way around it. Unless
you guys have some suggestions?
