]Reverend -- Tom Dowd may have created Shadowrun, but TOM DOWD DOESN'T
]RUN MY CAMPAIGN. Go bloody ask M. Dowd if the following printing was
]"never intended .. to be in there", and that it's a typo, wasn't
]sanctioned, and should NOT be used.

Fine.... if that's your style, fine by me. HOWEVER, I have seen some
people who saw that rule in 1.0, and have been using it. (Kinda like the
different pronunciations of Orichalcum, right gang?;) It's not recommended,
and Tom & Co, while occasionally wrong, usually have good reasons for stuff
they don't allow (this, vampires as PCs, etc). I'm not saying that your
style is wrong. But be aware that this isn't a rule that they want
used (or meant to be put in the book), in case you (or others) believe

Rev.... I don't really mind that Tommy doesn't want me to use the 10-point
rule -- I'll use it anyways. I strongly suspected, being a thinking
creature, that it wasn't 'kosher' -- in fact, in the campaign I used to
play in, we never used anything but 4-3-2-1-0.

And, having gotten Mechwarrior and seen the 10-point system used in
there, it was inevitable that I try it with SR. We've been consistent
and careful in character creation -- my 'worst' rules-rape was my only
one, and shudderingly was created using the A-B-C-D-E method. Shiv is
nothing if not grotesque.

Yes, they do usually have good reasons. And yes, usually I'll listen to
them, and take whatever rulings they make as though they were actually
in the book. It's just that your attitude as expressed by the 'CANNOT
etc.' irritated me, and I decided to point it out.

I do that sometimes.
