"Meta-magicians are inherently weaker than human magicians." Cha! I've
run 2 magicians in my sr career (which admittedly is rather short). The
first was human... he got things done, but always hung on the edge. The
second, an elf (under more metahumans), was evil and feared by all that
didn't hate them anyway.

Characters usually don't care about inherent racism... they just want to
kill things (or the few that actually only want to seriously hurt them).

The whole idea behind the meta rules is to bring the number of metahumans
in the game down to the number (proportionally) of metas in the population.
Using the more meta rules brings this number to the proportionality of the
"real" runners. And they're sick. Who could ask for anything more?

In case anyone cares, I'm currently running a 1m tall dwarf with allergies
to silver and "bad temper" (we threw in a gurps disadv, just because).
He's rather untested, except for having a missile dropped on his head and
taking a serious wound.... :)
