To those interested, I'd recommend the VERY 1st standalone module,
DNA/DOA. I recently ran it again, altering a few point [as always :-],
and setting it down smack dab in the middle of the Antarctica! Then I
stranded my runners there, when their chopper crashed in a storm. The
rigger back at their base city might be able to arrange a pickup for
them, when the storm clears, in about six hours. Otherwise, they'll be
stuck there for several days! And, they've got a corporate spec force
team, who also barely made it in before the storm hit, to contend with,
who are investigating what's going on. AND, EVERYBODY has to contend
with what's waiting inside the Installation itself!

Joe Bob's Count so far:

2 Dead Runners
1 EXTREMELY dead Spec Force Soldier
4 Grenade Explosions [see Spec Warrior above]
1 Display of Cannibalism [See Runner above]
1 Scene Nudity [won't tell you where :-]
And 1 Gratuidous Use of an Assault Rifle on full auto.

And a partridge in a pear tree! ROFLOL!
Sounds like this run went quite well!

I've never really cared for DNA/DOA, but it does have its merits.
Other great OOP modules are Dreamchipper, Mercurial, Dragon Hunt, Bottled
Demon, and Ivy and Chrome.
As for good sourcebooks to grab, try for Shadowbeat, Paranormal AoNA, and
I'm still a sucker for Sprawl Sites for good cheap off the cuff ideas.

Hey! was that the movie about the one they find frozen in the icecap...
then things run amok when they thaw it? or was it called "It"?

Either way it'd make a good springboard for a run... especially if you
manage to work with one of the PC's (who may not be terribly attached to
his current character).

Nope. It was called "The Thing". directed by John Carpenter (if memory
serves).
