Don't be, just use 24 hour time :) Much much easier..its too bad most
consumer items such as VCR's, microwaves etc are set to am/pm.

I'm still waiting for us Americans to deign to use the metric system :)

I agree though 24 hour clocks make it much easier.

they tried a metric time system once, I remember hearing about it on a science show
and reading about it popular mechanics.

I believe that was an idea the French tried to put into practice in the
late 18th century, but when Napoleon came to power he did away with it
because it was too complicated (a different name for each day of the year,
that sort of thing).

It's just civilian America that refuses to go metric and 24hour. The
military has been doing it for years. (at least mostly)

I wish we'd stayed metric....

I'm still more at home with pounds/ounces/feet/inches and miles than the
european alternative.....
