Well, I certainly don't beleive it, but I'll be paying close attention to
the world on the above mentioned date... <grin> Doesn't it just intrigue you
a little bit? (And apparently the date does have significance in some
ancient culture... who's to say? :-))

Yeah I know what your takling about. A part of me would like to think
that on that date the world will suddonly begin to change such as it did
in the SR timeline. It would be sort of fun. But then on the other hand I
say to myself "It's only a game! Get a hold of yourself man!!". But it's
always fun to think about it.

BTW I *think* (I'm not sure) that the culture you're referring to is the
Mayans (sp?). I believe it was thier calanader that had magic flowing in
cycles, with the next phase starting on 2011/12.

well FASA effectively say they borrowed the dates off the Mayan
calander so you might as well use that.

Well everything the sourcebooks have predicted seems to have been
acurate up till now. I mean the stuff in Britain/Ireland and I was
surprised to hear in the news the other day that there are some thoughts
about merging some of the german "provinces" (Bundeslaender). Well
the plan proposed looks very much like the map from Deutschland in
den Schatten :)

My comment on this is, who's volunteering to have their family and
friends wiped out in the VITAS plague, or any of the other assorted
calamities that are also part of this "fun game". Do you want to be put in
a concentration camp, or be goblinized and then killed? Or better yet, do
you want to be SIN-less or SIN-ned. Think of ALL OF THE
RAMIFICATIONS before you wish, not just the wiz parts.

Well we live on earth right now. What is wrong with a few more changes. I=

mean anyone in my family could die from some disease as we type or be shot=

by some nut on the street. I for one am all for the cyberware part of SR. =

I could care less about going through goblinization. Seems a little to
painful for me. I would love to be able to roam certain streets with a gun=

knowing if some jerk kid tried to mug me I could use my wired reflexes to
pull out the gun and hose him before he could get out the word, "Give me
your money."
