I think this one is actually relevent-

I'm pretty sure everybody remembers the McDonnel-Douglas/Northrop YF-23 right?
Well, after it lost out to the YF-22, what happened to the prototypes? I
believe there were two wern't there? The discovery of a sixty year old fighter
could lead to some very interesting runs....

NERPS? nah.

The engines and electronics were removed and the airframes became static
testbeds for structural stress analysis.
