Whee. Like I can't get good pictures now with a single camera, single lens.
The only reason you would NEED two camera eyes is if you are vidlinked and
recording a shot meant for 3D display. . .whih would preclude most 2D
media such as screamsheets and vid displays (though not trideo).

Whhops. Sorry if that came of as a flame. Real World frustrations were
eating me at the time. At any rate, I don't see too many runners
needing both eyes to be camera ready, so as long as they make the
requisite pairs match (thermo, LI) I don't see why they shouldn't be
able to mount a camera in one and up to .4 Essence of other mods that
don't require two lenses. Ret Prints come to mind.

If course, this leads to another security image. I think most of us (well
myself, anyway) picture Retscanners as checking on eyeball. Imagine a
runner, after going to great trouble to secure a copy of a vital Retprint
has uploaded it to his eye, coming to a dualprint scanner that checks both
eyes. Takes us back to the "one in each eye" theory, which only breaks
down under the camera example. Starting to sound like another theory that'
valid, except there's no use for it since not much else is listed for
cybereyes, other than toys that require both. Of course, you could always
squint.
