Thanks! As a fairly new GM, it's very useful. If anyone else has any
cool reference material or anything and they're bored, I'd love a copy

A while back. Probably a long way back somebody posted a list of questions
thay had put together. I'd like to use them in my upcoming article at my den
and I'm like to ask permission to use them. I believe in giving credit where
credit is due. Here's a snippet so you can recognize it.

1. What is your characters Sex?

2. What is your characters physical size?

3. What is the color of the characters Hair, eyes, and skin?
snip
53. Remember, your Gamemaster like detail, so if you can think of any
other little details, quirks, or whatever that you think might please the
almight GM, then add them in as well. Oh, and your GM won't use any
of these details against you at a later date. trust me...:)

They sound an awful lot like the 20 questions in SRII. If you expanded
that section out (using all the sub questions) you could have more than 50.
I always try and answer those before I play a character or before my
players do.

I'm sorry to ask this, but can somebody privately E-Mail me the 50
questions that everybody else keeps talking about. I haven't thought
that much about them, until I played last weekend and we had one PC
making up his character, and how he would react to things as he went
along.

Hmmm...

Well, I originally wrote the 50+ questions (there were 53), tho I have
since lost them do to mailbox crashes, computer crashes, and the like...:(

However, I have hope!

Apparently the questions are somewhere on Paolo Marcucci's Shadowrun
Archive! I wasn't able to locate them myself, (I only looked real quick
this afternoon. My compy hates websurfing:( )but they are there somewhere.
In fact, if anyone does find the, can you please give me the URL? I'd
like to get a new copy, and maybe add them to my own web page.

Thanks.

Also, as another plea to regain lost silliness that I posted (And since I
had someone ask about it), does anyone have a copy of the "FLUFF from the
Shadows" SR Commercials that I posted (And someone else did one as well,
not sure who). I really could use a copy of that as well (Especially the
Menthos one:)).

Thanks, and sorry about the SPAM...:]

N-ster; Please snip when you post, as you can see I removed most of if not

These wouldn't happen to be the 50 questions in the SR book, would it?
Last time I saw mention of these questions, they sounded suspicioulsy like
those ones.

Nope there is only 20 questions in the mainbook and they only graze the
surface of character development. The actual 50 questions well 53 or 54
actaully were put together by Bull go into a lot more detail than the ones
in the BB.

One thing that bothers me about the 20 questions thing is that players
(me included) tend to answer in very few words: "What does he look like?"
"Black hair, white skin, blue eyes, shoe size 43." It lacks detail
because, in my experience, people answer the _questions_ rather than
_answer_ the questions.

Whereas when I start with a blank document in a word processor and start
typing, I end up with a much better background story that tells a lot more
about the character than I usually manage with the 20 questions.

I usually answer the 20 questions and then develop the story. I change
my answers if I need to, to fit the story, but it helps get the
character stable in my mind.

Or the opposite approach will work. Create a history for your character,
then look over the 20 Questions and see if you've answered them all in your
background story.
