] I'm going to tone down this email somewhat and send it to him. He's
on character
] #3 out of 4 gaming sessions right now. Last night in response to all this he
] sent me 'a new character' of the same name. Only a Formori at -9 in
Flaws. So
] we may be on #4 but I'm going to give it a last effort to stablize or I open
] up a discussion privately with a few key members of the rest of the
group about
] replacing him. Which is annoying cause unlike the other munchkin who left I
] like this player.
Well, you could, instead of kicking him out (which is never good,
ever), make him a character yourself. Go ahead and make it combat
oriented, like he wants, but make it according to the rules, and give
it sensible stats. If he doesn't want to A) play that character, or B)
make a sensible one, then just go ahead and let him play the Fomori.
Sure, it's munchkin. My second Shadowrun character was as munchkin as
they come (Sorceror Adept with Skillwires, Spell Locks galore, and
Firearms 6), but I got into the roleplaying, developed the character's
personality, and ended up with a 3 dimensional character I love to play
(and who isn't so munchy in 3rd Ed :) Point being, if you don't give
the player a chance to grow beyond the "WOW, look at what _I_ can
make!" munchkin stage, you'll be doing him a disservice (and you'll
likely create some really hard feelings between you guys by kicking him
out).
