ok i was just tinking..

an huge number of animals an plants have an awakend
variant...

but what about an virus ????

so think about the Ebola virus with an magic abilatie to repricate
a 100 times faster or be unafected by drugs......


heee this might also be fun like an magic version of the flu
if you have it your skin turns bleu..=)

and yes you can agreu all you want about virusses don't/do have
gene's

so the runners stole some bio ampels from corp's C ?
and you are an Evil GM (i know there are al lot of you around you =)

you can give your Pc's an virus that let them glow in the dark
or every time they get water on them they get an Huge funges atack
or just sneez al the time or if they eat something or or or... Heee
i'm sounding like one of you ...and the scarry thing is i like the
feeling !

Can you say VITAS ?! Your awakend magical super virus already exists and it
has struck several times.

aaa i knew i forgot to inqlude something

but that already exists what i mean are viruses that evolve when
the magic level hits Jackpot !

(jackpot>the level when they get the magic boost =)

or for some ppl just to treaten there runners

I'm not sure it can happen. Virii, I believe, lack the possibility of the
"Magus Factor" gene.

Anyway...
Speaking of fungus that is awakened, you think you can have a fungus,
bacterium or whatever that glows in the presence of magic? It is a simple
reaction to stimulus, and can be used to detect astral presences.

Why does it have to be a gene? :). Magic doesn't _need_ to have
explanations like this attached to it. If you want a magic virus, or a
magic disease that doesn't involve any mircoorganisms, you can create
one.
