Every now and then in a shadowrunners career you get stuck with a prisoner
or someone you have to keep on ice for a little while. I'm thinking of
creating a NPC group of runners that will babysit for people while the
runners get on with the run.

Question how much would your group pay for such a service?
What would your group expect in way of service?
Would your group use it?

One method of working.

The van shows up. The troll orderly and dwarf nurse wheel the gurney over
to you . Scans the patient for tracers and bugs. They sedate the client,
plops them on the gurney, starts an IV to keep them fed and hydrated. Hook
up an autodoc just incase. Gets your certified cred stick for X yen a day.
Gives you an LTG to contact them for pickup. They give you a pager in case
they have to dump the body if it gets too hot or it croaks.

When the stick runs out, they either release the person, organ leg it or
pages the runners for another deposit else the body gets released. Who
really knows in shadowrun.

Rates:
Sinless/won't be missed: 100Y a day
Sin but won't be missed 150Y a day
Sin & will be missd 200Y a day.
Mob or Yak will object 750Y a day
Corp or Star looking for person 1000Y a day.
All out search for person expected No-thanks. Your pager went off, you have
an hour to collect before we cut our risk.

Extra fee for any added medical expenses or special treatments.
Extra fee if astral security required to prevent ritual magic.
Extra fee for confinment over 1 week.
Extra fee for confinment 1-4weeks.

Guy, I have to admit, I LOVE that list of things on this idea...suddenly, I
have a very wicked, even beyond twisted, idea for that Vamp game I'm working
on...

Hee hee! We were playing Divided Assets, I think,
and the object of the run was to keep this little boy
safe. So we pulled the above trick, sedating him,
and making a big ol' hermetic circle around him, then
waited out the adventure until we could return him
wherever he was s'posed to go (don't really remember
the specifics of that one). The intensely frustrated
GM said that we cut the adventure time by 66%.

We'll take kids as long as you don't mind if they are sedated the entire
time. We use makeover spell & healthy glow to take care of keeping them
clean.

As for Succubi. Extra fees if we take it at all.

Ahh well, better not, because I do mind and they too and sedating
spirits is another tricky part.

I know a whole team of male runners who would line up to baby-sit a
Succubi... for free :).
