skill mentioned (but there again I'll admit I didn't look very
hard;). So I put together a skill which covers it (any comments
most welcome, esp. if it already exists)
Skill: Camoflage
Discription: Each success on the skill against T#4 (mod by
equipment, situation, wounds) give the character a +1 to hide. This
bonus is in conjunction with the camo clothes etc, but only works
when the character is still.
Eg: Limpit a dwarven merc dressed in camo clothes (+4) is sneaking
through the jungle. Earlier that day he had painted his face and
weapon (ie used camophlage), rolling his 4d skill he obtained 3
successes. His entire bonus when moving is 4, when still 7. Tim (your
run of the mill soilder) is looking for Limpit. While sneaking along
Limpits T# to spot Tim is 7(Skill Stealth (3)+ Camo Clothes), while
Tim as T#9 (Skill (5) + Camo Clothes). Each character rolls opposing
perception checks to spot the other. Rolling the dice Limpit notices
Tim and decides to ambush him and so goes to ground. Tim now has to
roll vs T#12 (Skill(5)+Camo Clothes+Camo) with his perception of 3,
while Limpit who has seen him (T#-2) only has to roll vs T#5 to keep
track of Tim. I think that Tim is in for a bad day.
Ok thats how I think the skill should work, any idea etc....
