In truth, the only episode I can think of with the concept of "True Virtual
Reality" in Star Trek Paolo are the episodes from Voyager. One or two
involving the Borg "Link" and one involving a planets' users trapped in their
own minds.
Though I admit the Holodeck is "Virtual Reality", it lacks something that is
key in the implementation of SR-Matrix Tech. Mental connectivity. All the
VR in ST:TNG/Voyager/DS9 is vocal or programmably responsive. The VR tech in
SR is mentally responsive in a direct manner. It opens up FAR more avenues
of ability with the tek, such as Programmable ASIST Biofeedback (Shadowbeat)
and Skillsoft Technology.
