formidabe barrel. As someone else pointed out, a lot of the benefits to doing
so would require mechanisms not yet in place, such as rules for reflecting the
wear and tear of the use and abuse of the gun.
The only advantage that can be reflected in the vanilla rules that comes
immediately to mind is that the barrels of rifles would be strong enough to
be used as serious melee weapons without worrying about bending or otherwise
damaging the barrel.
