I like your argument Soren, but still have to disagree with allowing Enhanced
Articulation to add to Etiquette skills. The first reason is in your last
paragraph (which I left above). Etiquette skills are both mental and physical.
Enhanced Articulation just adds to the physical leaving the man on the street
saying, "Damn he moved smooth, but the way he talked told me he was a newbie."
The second reason is actually a game balance thing. Hook you samurai up
with Skillwires 3, Enhanced Articulation, and Tailored Phermones 2. Gives him
skill softs level 3 for any social skill and his effective level is 6! That is
just plain gross.
BTW for you guys who don't allow Etiquette Skill softs, my GM allows them, but
treats them like degrading Decking Utilities. In other word for every week you
own them the effective value drops by 1. This reflects the fact that what is in
style one week is "way lame" the next and one year's fashion setter is the next
year's fashion disaster. This allows people who don't have the skill get it but
hits them hard and often in the old credstick.
