Which brings up a pet topic of mine, that of Shadowrun fashion (sorry
folks, but discussion of big guns just don't do it for me anymore; I get
into the details of the milieu of SR big time).
We already briefly discussed the probable increase in the acceptance of
"fetish fashions" in SR.
And we can read from various published materials that it isn't that
uncommon to see an Amerind walking down the street in "traditional"
clothing in Seattle 205X.
So could we safely assume that along with the increase in nationalism (that
we see today) and ethnicity that causes some nations to break apart along
ethinic lines, that this resurgence would cause a general increase in
ethnic fashions?
I mean everything from walking into a Fuchi office (pre-BitB) in downtown
Tokyo or even Seattle and seeing a few executives wearing a kimono designed
and cut for business? Or that their fellow exec Sandeep from India might
wear a sari (is that right?)? All the way up to the minimalist, like using
different fabrics and cuts and an increase in ethnic designed jewelry and
accessories.
Another point: does anyone have any PCs that wear odd or different
clothing? I've got a player who's got a Scottish runt human sorcery adept
that wears a kilt. And another who's got a troll detective that wears
outfits right out of The Thin Man or The Maltese Falco.
