Yeah, they have.
I always looked at it as minor differences due to cultural "background
count."
As for the critters, remember that most of the names in the Paranimals
books are just "street names" not the actual critters taxonomy (though
that's in there too.

Basically these critters are called what they're called because tha name
happens to fit the myths mankind has created about them.

As for a Fomori, I can't see that anyone would think one anything other
than a rather intelligent troll, while the Fomorian is just a "mutaqua" or
mutated Dzoo-noo-qua.

You're talking about three different things here: Fomori as ~Tim refers to
are from White Wolf's Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and are an enemy of the
garou (werewolves). Fomori from PAoE are non-PC critters, trolls with
HMMWV, erm, wait, I mean HMHVV :) to be precise. The last kind of Fomori
are the ones from the SR Companion, and they're a PC race that are just a
variation on trolls.

The same name for different things gets confusing :)
