that with the publishing of SR3 pushing the timeline up to the 2060, its
again an election year. Any bets on who the next president of the UCAS
will be?

I think you can't discount Kenneth Brackhaven running again... after all,
he's charismatic, has tons of money, and has a burr up his ass. Sounds
like Presidential material.

Then we have the Haeffener\Davair ticket (or vice versa), which will have
a better following amongst the Meta's.

Any other players that we can see coming?

No bets here, but I see a bright future for the Haeffner/Daviar ticket,
personally. It doesn't look like they've made any major mistakes, from what
literature I've seen, and Ares handed them a gem when they cleaned up Bug
City and let Haeffner make the announcement in the 2058 State of the Union
address.

There is that.

Hey, does anyone know what relation Kenneth Brackhaven is/was to the Karl
Brackhaven who appeared in the "Peacekeeper" scenario in NAN1 (which I've
been reviewing for an upcoming game)?

It wouldn't surprise me to see the Eco-Dwarf make another appearance, or
what's-her-name, the mage.

Especially when you consider that, as of 2057, 60% of the electorate was
human. Given the number of candidates from the last election, even if
half of those don't vote Brackhaven, he's got a huge following...

One thing I will say is that I think it would be really interesting if
they had Brackhaven get elected, and have them examine that dark
underbelly for a few years.
