Actually, very raely are missons so cut and dried as get in..kill target
x...and get out unnoticed. Besides that..How is that really different from most
Shadowruns? Most shadowruns seem to fall into the category of sneak
in..accomplish mission objectives..and get out without being seen. Also(
contrary to popular belief) people in the Military often have lives outside of
the service which can lead to several interesting situations. If you think that
the thing described in the dumb things thread are weird..you should see any
military town on a Saturday night.

Yeah... my mom used to go nuts when my dad would have to go out in the
field. Now, Mom's a bit weird, but she's ultimately pretty stable.
Imagine if one of your teammate's wife is convinced he's not on a mission,
but actually out boinking someone else. Now, on base, the sponsor is
ultimately responsible for what is done by the people he sponsors
(spouses, children, live-in relatives)... what if this psycho-bitch
decided, while y'all were off killing the Grand Poohbah of the Holy and
Magical Order of Water Buffalo, that your decker was having an affair.
She goes over to the house of who she thinks her husband is sleeping with
a Roomsweeper in one hand and a kitchen knife in the other, kicks in the
door, blows the chick away and emasculates whoever she's sleeping with...
who is not her husband, because he is currently reducing the national debt
by skimming the membership toll of the Water Buffaloes.
Y'all return from a job well done to find that there is now a man-hunt in
progress for his wife. What do you do? Well, why not take some leave and
find her _first_, so she doesn't get ventilated by the MP's, since the guy
she emasculated was an MP...

Sound like something not "veni, vidi, vici", to you?

You want weird? Try a combined military/college town. A bunch of stupid
young grunts with a bunch of stupid young kids, all of whom are at least
half-drunk...

There are three big differences:

No Mr Johnsons to deal with

You don't have to pay for your ammunition, or equipment.

There are limited long term adverse side effects to using that equipment and
ammo on authorized missions.
