Another death to report.

For those of you that don't already know, young actor River Phoenix
collapsed outside of a Hollywood night club last night and died a short
time later. He was 23.

Star of the successful movies My Own Private Idaho and Stand by Me, and
playing the part of a young Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the last
Crusade, Phoenix was going to begine filming Anne Rice's Interview with a
Vampire in a couple of weeks.

I'm bummed. :-(

Anyone hear a report of what the cause of death was? It's definitely
depressing to have so many good actors dieing so close together...

As a followup.

An autopsy is going to be performed tomorrow. Suspicions are that it
could be drug related due to Phoenix's good health and the suddenness of
his death. This death is inconsistent with rumors that he had AIDS, or
at least inconsistent with AIDS being his cause of death.

*sigh*

I am most bummed, still.

Last time I checked See-N-Know, they were still awaiting the autopsy report.
