This group sounds like they keep defending overly powerful
characters as long as they can be roleplayed. Here's the breakdown as I
see (it's not the law, its just a bill. And it's sitting there on
capital hill) ;
Minmaxer: takes advantage of loopholes for character power, a rules
lawyer, characters have maximum power for minimum cost hence MinMax.
They have your standard chance of being a good roleplayer.
Munchkin: the term itself is derogatory. They are similiar but more
debased form of MinMax. Not neccesarily rules lawyers and will sometimes
ignore rules for sake of more powerful characters. Munchkins are rarely
good roleplayers as they are more in it for the power. A lot tend to add
to the system to give them more power. The Shadowrun Companion has
several entries demonstrating that point. <oops, I derailed my own rant>
My friends and i have a tendency to fall into the MinMax catagory at
times. We will make judgement calls and house rules to fix anything we
feel is exploited as opposed to take advantage of (game balance
affecting). We will also gladly exploit those loopholes on anyone who
ignores our advice to close them. Our characters will always have
personalities and personal goals, but also efficiently made. We love the
balance Shadowrun has and we like to keep it that way

Great, I'm always angry!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Oh that feels great. Can I punch you too? I guess I'll
just be happy I can personally yell at you whenever I get Angry.
