I finally got SN this winter and have been working hard on it since. I
need some advice on how much nuyen to give my runners per mission. SRII
is very vague about money and riches. Also, as far as time is concerned,
how long is it usually between runs, and will the runners get rich really
fast if they do good, or do they work hard for their cash?

It all depends on the power level of your game. Some people seem to have
10K and up 'missions' all the time, but my game is much lower powered --
they all earned 8K for snatching a dead body a couple sessions ago, and
were really pleased.

In general, it seems that my players spend 4 days a week doing real life
stuff, and a couple days searching for work and completing it. Of course,
the long term camping trip coming up tommorrow will put a damper on some
things.. ;)

As for getting rich quick -- no way. The money they earn usually goes
right back into the search for information/new gear/bribes/day to day
stuff. And if they decide to stock-pile money, there's always ways to get
rid of it, or reduce it.

Please note I'm a low power GM, and my game is a lot more role-play and a
lot less 'action'. IOW -- your milage may vary :)

depends on what kind of campaign you are running. a good starting point for
fresh out of the book characters (100-point base or standard pirorities) is
around 20K or so for a run (that's for the team, not each). once they build
experience and earn Karma, you can send them on progressively more dangerous
more intricate missions for higher pay.
but they've gotta build rep first.

NOTE: this is just my suggestion. this is how i start out low level characters
and it seems to work pretty well. you may want to take a look through some of
FASA's adventures to get an idea of how tough a run should be for however much
cred (that's how i started out when i first started GM'ing about 6 or 7 years
ago) and then base your ideas from that.

but, as always, you're the GM and the rate of the game is up to you. work them
up to higher paying jobs when they start getting the hang of things. another
thing, just because this job payed 20K for the team and the second payed 30K
doesn't mean that the third run will pay 40 or even 30. play around with
payment and decide what fits your game best.

if the 'Runners got several good jobs to make them rich, they would have to be
real good or real lucky to have avoided ending up real dead. and it's your
decision as to how long between runs, but i usually take into consideration
healing time, learning spells and other magic stuff, making contacts, et
cetera. just ballpark it. the team probably won't be doing a run every-other-
day, but you can say 'a couple weeks later' or 'a few days later' or 'everyone
lies low for a month and takes a breather' .

make them work for their cred. that's what i do. my PC's didn't get miniguns
and full Mil-spec armor just by being nice guys ;] it took them a while to
make enough money where they could afford luxury and all the neat new toys
that they got. but as the runs got more lucrative, they also got more
intricate and more deadly (image: breaking into Saeder-Krupp headquarters in
Berlin. ' course, they're all filthy fragging rich now....)

but, as always, its your call. you're the GM and it's your campaign.

Anywhere between a few thousand nuyen (for very simple missions) and a
hundred thousand or more (for very involved ones) is what I usually pay.

That's up to you. You have to get a bit of a feel for it, plus an idea of
how you want to run your campaign -- if you want to keep it street level,
pay them a lot less and put longer between runs than when you want them to
be the all-powerful runners that nobody can touch (or so they think :) I
keep saying this, but I feel it's a good idea to buy at least one
FASA-published adventure, to get an idea of FASA's views on these things.
