I could think of a LOT of stupid runners. :-) (True, they don't live
long) It's not about versatility, but about personal style, I guess.
The character might think that the Chrome on the Guardian is so behind
the fashion SOTA (there are those that argue that chrome never goes
out of style)... though I suppose that one can get a matte black
Guardian. Or someone might like the heft of a Predator, or the
concealability of a Browning Ultra-Power (this player's favorite). I
had a player whose character used a Revolver, simply because he can
easily customize the order of ammo he uses (not to mention switch ammo
pretty much on the fly... try that with a clip). The weapons are
merely templates, and the weapons that a player uses is highly
dependant on personal style.
Also, I thought being a shadowrunner meant that you were automatically
a Lone Star magnet. :-) Just a thought.
