I just wanted to say that I'm *REALLY* dissappointed in some of you.

This list was, at one point and time (And still is, to a MUCH lesser
degree) a place where friendships were forged and people got together to
intelligently and rationally discuss Shadowrun as well as other, more fun
(though OT) things like Woodchucks, tea, and peanut butter.

But lately, a LOT of the fun has been lost. You bicker, complain, and
criticize, occasionally going way beyond the line of good taste and openly
flame people.

And frankly, I miss the old days.

This is not directed towards everyone, or even anyone in particular, it's
just an open post. But guys, relax and have fun. Really, if you take
things this seriously, remember: IT'S JUST A GAME! We're doing this for
fun. And if you're doing it for ANY other reason, get out now, because
you're playing for the wrong reason.

Ok, I'm done. <sigh>

I agree with you, Bull. You're right. If my older posts about my dislike
of the DHS helped chime into this feeling of bickering, I apologize.

On to lighter topics, about your sig line. Very cool. Here's something I
was wondering though: All things being equal, an Ork could never be a better
decker than a Human. Att maxes and att links and all. Doesn't that seem a
little wonky? I know aptitudes can greatly influence talent, and that's why
someone who doesn't work as hard as someone else can still be better than the
other person, but should this apply to whole races?

He doesn't say he's the best decker, only the best ORK decker...

I know, but it got me thinking about the situation with metas like Orks and
Trolls and intelligence-based archtypes. (Which reminds me, Bull, I'd love
to see the decker's stats, if you wouldn't mind.)

No you wouldn't.
Beleive me.
He's posted them before, and people just start screaming "Munchkin!" before
they consider that the character is ... what ... 8 years old now?

Bull: The Best <and Scariest> Ork Decker You Never Met????

I don't think a powerful character that was created 8 years ago is
munchkinism. Now, let me describe munchkinism to you: Online game I was in
briefly (very briefly, like 2 sessions brief; the GM got tired) had a
character. A Vampire PC character, an Adept Vampire PC. (::gag::) This
Vampire PC was under 2 years old since creation (which only means about 1
year at most because of the online gaming time-lag). This character had an
Unarmed Combat Skill of 28. No, that isn't a mis-type. Unarmed Combat 28.

Nevermind the character never *acted* like a Vampire. It was all a
power-game for the guy.

That is a munchkin.

IIRC from his site, isn't he also the "Best Wendigo Decker You Never Met"
now? :-)

Umm, Bull, you're not that old. Yet. :)
