Congratulations!

Just one little question . . . 6/20/98 - 11/20/98 . . . have you managed
to streamline the production process? If so, how can I get in on it.

I was curious about that as well, but since we are done with the
creation process, I didn't bother to ask...

Well, I will need to wrooy about it - not to far in the future. I don't
smoke and rarly drink, so giving those things up for the duration is no
big deal. However, current medical advice also recommends that you give up
certain foods which can be dangerous to people with weak immune systems
(raw fish, raw oysters, rare steaks) because of the risk of food
poisoning. While the adult system is capable of handling it (usually a
health adult suffers nothing more than an upset stomach), the fetus may
suffer more serious affects. Since I ADORE sushi and eat it at least once
a week, I consider this to be major deprivation and worth putting off the
arrival of the next member of the new generation of shadowrunners.

Hmmm . . . How to get his back on topic . . .

What health fads do you see appearing in the 2060's (besides the avoidance
of high velocity lead)? Has alternative medicine gone by the wayside as
medicine becomes even less personal in corp clinics with extremely high
patient loads (of average corp employees) or will alternative medicine
become more popular as people have a harder time affording conventional
doctors and alternative healers have more positive results they can point
to? Will hospital births return to the more sterile "let's knock you
out and when you wake up we will show you the kid" experience that my
mother had, or will the hadns on trend of more midwives and birthing
center births continue? Will "natural" food be considered better nutrition
and be recommended for any who can afford it, or will the nutritionists
claim that the soy stuff is better for you (all the vitamins and
nutrition, less fat and wasted calories, little chance of food poisoning)?

What about exercise? What will replce jogging nad what exercise machines
will be popular (in home or in a gym)?

Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone care?

In the Corp enclaves, yeah sterile is the rule. Read the first chapter of
the first "Secrets of Power" book. Sam wakes up, and is basically given the
boot. "Yeah, your fine. See you later." For the magic types out there, I
would say there are clinics (to small to be called hospitals) that would
cater to those of that ilk. Lots of holistic remedies, aura cleaning, that
kind of thing. Invasive surgery would be the last resort. Finally, I
actually see a return of the local wise woman (person). Especially in areas
like the Barrens. Sort of like the holistic clinics, but maybe a little
more 'honest'. While the clinic will have a salve made of 'Carbonize Bovine
Extract', the local wise one will tell you point blank, "This here salve is
made of burnt cow dung, smells awful, but it works!" Oh, and there are
always street docs.

Adoption followed by fertility drug induced twins. I didn't cheat,
even though I did stack the deck.

Ah...got it. Just wondering was all...thought they might have changed
the rules on me when I wasn't looking...
