Subject: | Question over dinner... |
Date: | Wed, 10 Nov 1993 23:57:20 -0600 |
A few nights ago I partook of my evening meal in the company of Loki (a.k.a.
Flare) and The Reverend, as is my custom. During the dinner conversation the
topic, as usual (inevitably?), turned to ShadowRun, and a rather intriguing
question was proposed:
What if...
A mage is searching a darkened building...and upon entering a certain room,
the Game Master informs him that he sees an animated humanoid form before him.
Details of the figure's appearance, due to lighting, are sketchy at best,
although the mage clearly observes the arms of the mystery man raised, as
though in preparation of casting a spell.
The player decides to unleash a combat spell at his potential opponent.
The problem? The mage has seen a mirror, and within the environment of the
darkened room, could not detect that his "opponent" was actually his own
reflection.
The question? Is the magician capable of "zapping" himself?

that was the great error in 1848 and 1849, but by blood and iron."
