What if any restrictions do you play?

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal
names more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves,
they answered to another name, because if another discovered their real
name, it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.

Well.... In the campaign we have been playing, we've all had pretty standard
human (and mutant mutt) characters....

I'll be taking over GMing soon, and will add NO recognisable DeeBees, NO
dragons and NO Mind Melters.....

Keep the players to a human level, and then no-one gets outmatched and you
have a balanced party...

(Also, as they're working for the coalition, the only reason a mage might
accompany them is because the coalition knows the opposition has a mage and
are threatening the mage with them with nasty things if he doesn't comply...)

If your worried about Mind Melters, you might as well just stick to
playing with only the rule book and the first Source-book. (Don't even go
NEAR phase world...) :)

Balanced, but no fun...:)

Remember that the coalition's whole anti-non-human policy is just
propaganda to keep the state together and foster a nice driving fear and
hate complex in the people. The higher up's don't really care too much,
some even have their own private forces that are quite contrary to
coalition standards.

|Balanced, but no fun...:)

Depends what you play, and how you play it....

It doesn't say this in the Main rule book, therefore, it doesn't exist.
(I don't have Juicer Uprising or Coalition War Machine. The last Rifts book
I bought was Triax... It's getting worse than ADnD.)

Those are two VERY good books. The CS War 'Campaign' (as it's now called)
seriously boosts the CS's power (they decided to pull something on the
scale of all out expansion/conquest in North America), and the Juicer
Uprising has some real good stuff on juicers (and about 6 more types) -
lots of background.

Neither of them goes too far into overkill (powerwise) - unlike some other
source books.

So I've heard.

|Neither of them goes too far into overkill (powerwise) - unlike some other

It was the quantity rather than quality I was moaning about when I said it
was almost as bad as ADnD.

I just couldn't keep up with the damned things....

A little off topicness wouldn't hurt once in a while....

Oh but the Coaltion War machine returns the coalition to the glory days
of when you were susposed to be afraid of the coalition when they could
whomp some major rear. Not the pansy days after alantis came out. Make me
glad to be afaid of thr biggest power in North America.
