CAD has made marvelous advancements in the past few years, but
especially in the field of automotive engineering. The state of the
art has advanced to the point that a prospective engineer can simply
type in his or her specifications and receive a complete design ready
for manufacture by your favourite megacorp.

Until recently the engineer had to painstakingly transcribe the
resulting data and massage it into a format useable by
industry-standard CAM system, but thanks to a new development by
a Mr. Ojaste that process has been eliminated.

At least, if you're willing to spend the time to grab the very latest
version of The Shop - version 1.2.0.

(>) For those not up on what this slot is trying to say (in typical
corp double-speak of course) is that The Shop v1.2.0 is capable
of exporting complete vehicle designs to HTML.
(>) Debugger

Mr. Ojaste credits Mr. Jon Szeto (commonly acknowledged as the
father of modern automotive engineering) for various suggestions
to streamline the whole process. "I'd like to get rich off the deal"
said Mr. Ojaste in an exclusive interview, "but I'd probably have
to charge people money or whatever, and that'd be too much of a
hassle." No word on when his remedial Business Savvy 101 course is
to be scheduled.

Background:
In late 2058, Mr. Szeto wrote a paper which received mixed reviews
about concepts in vehicle design. Approximately one month later,
Mr. Ojaste released the first version of what has since come to be
known as "The Shop". Mr. Ojaste implemented Mr. Szeto's concepts
and raised them to a new level by allowing engineers to rapidly
prototype vehicles to quickly and easily determine where their
faults lay. The latest version is available (along with the source
code and the distributions of all previous versions for the
historically inclined) at http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~jojaste/SRII/
