It will be due out in August. I think we've all seen the description of
the game, but for those who haven't, the players build shadowruning teams
as if they were a fixer and send the teams out on runs.
In the article, FASA president Jill Lucas says that the success of the
Battletech CCG is at least partially based on the loyalty of the
Battletech customer base and that FASA would like to do something similar
with the Shadowrun TCG, since it has such a strong customer base. She
also says that "This game is our highest priority."
It lists artists which are already commissioned - Tim Bradstreet, Paul
Bonner, Mark Tedin, Janet Aulisio, and "other big guns of the fantasy art
world." I wonder if Tim is coming back to do new art or if they're just
using his old stuff. It would be great to see him come back and do SR
stuff, I think he pretty much defined the look of the world in the early
days.
Finally, it ends with Tara Gallagher, FASA sales manager, talking about
the Shadowrun following (which is us), and comparing it again to the
Battletech following, expecting a "big initial response". She finishes
with "Fans won't be dissapointed, this is a cool game."
