Almost word for word:
Shadowtech, p. 45
"Once a datajack has ben installed, the user still needs an
Input/Output control device (an Encephalon or I/O subprocessor)
implanted before he gains full access to all internal memory and
headware peripherals. ... The datajack listed in the Shadowrun rules
has a DFR of 25 and comes with a Level 0 I/O processor SPU."
Actually, I just realized, using a datajack for ASIST signal input
doesn't involve accessing headware memory or peripherals. So, really,
if you just need a datajack for enjoying sim, decking, and plugging
into items that can recieve cybernetic commands by datajack, then a
lone Level 1 Shadowtech Datajack, is a workable option, and a cheaper
one.
