What's the policy on spoilers?

I would love to know what is behind the Renraku
Arcology shutdown. The lastest info I read was from
the New Seattle book. Is that the most up-to-date
info?

If you have the low-down on the mystery, please spoil
me. If there is no official answer published yet, will
there be?

Hey, hombre, that isn't what we're here for. If you
are a GM, then you should go out and get the book
(Renraku Arcology: Shutdown a.k.a. RA:S.) Nothing
that we say here can come close to giving you the
complete picture as that. If you are a player, then
you need to talk to your GM to find out what he thinks
your character should know. If you are really
curious, tell your GM that your character wants to go
on an Arc run. Find out that way. But do not come
here to cheat. Spoiling is a form of cheating.
Cheating at Shadowrun just ruins the fun for the
whole. If you can't understand that, then please get
a small tattoo on your forhead that says 'munchkin' or
some other fitting, blatantly obvious message.
As for policy on spoilers, if there is some like
[RA:S Spoiler] in the subject, or an included 'Spoiler
Space' such as this:

<spoiler space>
S
P
O
I
L
E
R

S
P
A
C
E

</Spoiler Space>

Or some other variation, then you really should not
read it. That is for those who have 1. Either already
played the adventure/read the novel that is being
discussed, or 2. Are GMs who will play this. Again,
if you want to really enjoy Shadowrun, then don't read
them.

Now, then. What's Up with the Arc? (mind you there
is no spoiler in this) One day, the Arc just shut
down. No one could get in, and no one was coming out.
The SCIRE part of the matrix was, as well, closed out
from the rest of the matrix. No official story has
been released. UCAS Army came in, almost immediately,
taking over the situation, and locking things down.
The change was very abbrupt, and Renraku is admitting
to nothing. It's been closed even since. Ask your GM
for the rest. There is so much more to it, but if you
really want to know, the best way to find out is to go
and run it.

Gotta run,

Yes I'm the GM and I didn't know there was such a
book.

But do not come

Take a pill, buddy.

Thx for the info, I'll look for the book.

How rude!!! Just because a guy doesn't know of all the info available
doesn't make him a 'munchkin'. Maybe others of us should consider tattooing
"Anal" to oneself in the same respect. And as for what makes the game fun,
I wouldn't call being assaulted for asking a question all that much fun
myself. Thanks for promoting such an open and generous attitude towards new
readers and players.

Pretty much what I thought at first, but he did
apologize to me off list.

Sometimes it's hard to tell that you're coming off as
being rude when you're not actually talking to
someone.

Besides, it's Friday! I can't be mad at anyone on a
friday. ;o)

True...and this was all you needed to say. I get the impression that Adam
is relatively new to the game, and that his game store doesn't carry every
single solitary SR book in print. It strikes me as likely that he didn't
know RA:S even existed.

This, OTOH, was *completely* uncalled for, in my opinon.
