Subject: | [SR3] BABY's here finally! |

I am now the proud owner of BABY #357, thanks to a helpful member of
the list (who shall remain nameless unless he wishes to stand up and
take the credit :) ).
Now to make this somewhat On Topic, I noticed a couple of things so
far in reading my BABY and wondered what the rest of you think.
First, in reading the "So It Came to Pass" I noticed the following.
"Two days later, the newly declared nation of Amazonia,...<snip
unecessary description>. They've been quiet down there since (too
quiet, according to alot of people who regularly post to this BBS)."
It has generally been my experience that when things get too quiet,
something is about to happen. Could a new sourcebook be in the works
for Amazonia? Maybe a Target: Amazonia?
The second item I have found, is in the rules descriptions about
skill specializations. Pg. 84 mentions that "starting a
specialization during gameplay does not reduce the base skill rating",
yet the description about Sioux City shows both the above statement
and then what appears to be a contradictory effect, "<something got
cut off>s corespondingly reduced by 1, to 4(5-1=4). This reduction
means that Sioux's Jackrabbit specialization is now 1.5 times greater
than her rating in the base Car Skill, and so will cost her more to
improve." What reduced her Car Skill? It started at 5 in the
description, and the rules state that additional specializations don't
reduce the base.
