Okay, time to jump right into this again. This is not entirely correct, and
yet it is all at the same time.

The Force of the spell DOES determine the number of maximum successes in many
of the -UNRESISTED- spells that are out there (Heal/Treat, Many of the
Detection Category). It is NOT the limitation on Combat Magic and, as far as
I can find so far, anything that is of a resisted nature. Many of the spells
give indications of whether or not this limitation does exist or not with
regards to itself.

I also like that several spells also immediately list whether or not they have
a "Threshold" that has to be surpassed, and what attribute that threshold
actually is. Several, if not all, of the Control Manipulations (Mental) are
of this kind.

So yes, many spells are now limited in the potential success levels with
regards to their force, but that number is a far cry from all of them.

You hit the nail right on the head here K. Unresisted spells have a cap of
max successes = force. Anything resisted (note that many spells that were
not resisted before now are so don't freak just yet) has no cap on
successes. One of the reasons for this is to alleviate things like a force
1 armor spell being able to add insane amounts to a characters body rating.

It should be a large minority of them IIRC.

Okay, this is what Mongoose mentioned last week.

I still don't recall this from my playtest materials, so either I managed
to skip right over it, it was something that I never received, or was added
afterwards. Don't know honestly.

But okay, good enough. If it's straight from the BABY, I can't exactly
contradict it.

Damn I hate waiting...
