creature. I'll break this up for comments... Well this myth can be
dispelled. there are ways to surpress the regeneration ability.
The first of course is magic. a spell can be disigned to slow or
surpress regeneration. This is no big task but will cost mega bucks and
time. This is a great spell for all the vampire/shifter sport hunters.
second lack of magic. if a creature is within a "null" zone there are
no astral energy to fuel the regeneration process. so the body must use
mundane methods of healing. for this ruling I'm drawing ideas off of
the books and healing. When there is a wound and a mage casting
heal/treat they manipulate astral energies and fuse them with the tissue
thus healing it. To myself it makes sense. Therefor no magic no
healing energy.
-- to rebuke myself a bit here --- cause i want to fully explore the
issue. The healing process may be genetic also. with a faster rate of
cellular respiration and metabolism. then the character would be warmer
and require more energy intake due to the faster rate of metabolism
unless they are more efficient in the process.--- woah ramble
then number 3 may come into effect.
(what would happen to the creature in a null zone if it tried to
change?) would it stay in the same form? --- i'd say yes but you're
intitled to feedback.
three cold. when a creature is exposed to frigid temperatures the
cellular respiration slows down. approach really low temperatures the
rate may just slow enough to implant an augmentation. the draw back to
this method is the preparations and equipment needed by the surgical
team. vampires may have not apply in this area
now to address the shifting aspect=== the creature has spent ESSENCE on
the cyberware. This means that it is part of the creature and will
change with it. only because it spent esssence to make it a part of
itself. there is some reference to mages and cybereyes which relates
but i can't find it. as for bioware.... treat the shifter as a mage.
the shifter must spend essence on bioware equal to the body index.
a reference will come up as to the Aural template. (it always does)
but---- now that esence has been spent the template has been changed.
and the cyber/bio is part of the astral creature as well as the meat.
vampires are difficult to handle in this situation. The cyberware
within the creature before infection stays. I think that has been the
general concensus.
Now what about the issues of how often the creature must feed,
the concept of essence spent... because the creature can always get
more.
how large is the essence limit for the creature to implant.
and does this affect the creature's possible magic rating?
