OK, basically a lone vampire infiltrated the arcology's security staff.
He slowly infected the Red Samurai and the security riggers and influenced
them to shutdown the arcology. Afterwards he issued an ultimatum to those
trapped in the arcology: Become a vampire or become food.

My team infiltrated the arcology, retrieved the information and got out
but are being pursued by nearly every fragging vampire in Seattle!

My character is Dust the Taoist Physical Adept specializing in stealth
and nonlethality. My team consists of a mage who thinks he's the Messiah
(Seusage), an ork razorboy with the move by wire system (Michael), and an
otaku whom we don't know is an otaku (Jason)

So that's the scoop. Any comments and help would be duly appreciated.

Wow, that is so wrong yet so, well, interesting. Since FASA has
apparently done a good job of keeping this under wraps, I'm not gonna
spoil it, especially since rampant speculation and wild rumors could be
very useful IN GAME.

Hey, I'll take a shot at it, lets see how good my prognostication is:
<Spoiler Space for those who don't plan to read this thread in case someone

Well, it's got to be related to the events at the end of Technobabel. My
guess is either the AI itself (the deep resonance?) or a smart frame virus
created by it (as in REALLY smart frame) has taken over the building in
order to protect itself. It could even have happened like this: "oh look,
those Raku deckers have finally figured out I'm here in their central host.
They are walking towards the Computer Room in order to shut me down. Hmmm,
time for hiding is over." It then initiates Renraku's own security lock
down, evacuates the oxygen out of the computer room (and/or triggers sentry
guns on the poor Tshirt wearing deckers). While it only cared about the
computer room, might as well treat the outside of the arcology as an outer
perimiter and secure that too. All those people make a good set of
hostages against Renraku trying something drastic. The inside might run
out of food in a few weeks, but it's fusion plant will provide the computer
with everything IT needs for at least a century. It just needs to take
care of those pesky humans who keep trying to shut it down or open up the
doors.

Posibility 2: Less likely. Some immortal is testing the arcology as a
possible Kaer for the next scourge. The wards and guardian spirits he
summoned worked just fine on stone walls, but THESE walls were plasticrete
studded with enough sensors, wires, microbrains, cameras and automated
devices that, coupled with the high force magic, caused the building to go
sentient. And its main mission is SECURITY. Banishing a Force 60 Dual
Natured wall is out of the question, the PCs will have to figure out some
other way of getting it to say "Ahhh!".

Actualy, I thought the Babel virus (and Otaku sidekicks) would meet Morgan,
and she would take her home offline until she had found a way to make herself
safe. (I refer to an AI as a her, but oh well.) Since Psychotrope likes to
send in physical insertions to confront enemies it cannot reach online, she
may have sealed the building itself.
