The topic has completely evolved. While we're talking about totems though,
I have a nickle to throw in....

In one of my games, a guy ran an Amerind who followed the path of
"Falcon" he didn't have a magic attribute or any abilities, but he followed
the path and believed himself a representative of the totem.
I made the totem like eagle, he had cybereyes (with mag sight) and
hand razors (to simulate talons). Interesting concept.

must have had interesting-looking cybereyes to get around the
diffraction limit. :)

One of my characters is Wolf totem: he has an Amerind background, and as
far as his people are concerned *everyone* has a totem to follow. Some
are cursed with magic, others aren't. A few of his friends are coming to
that point of view as well.

We have a character also like that, except in this case he
follows the path of the puma. Handrazors, extendable canine teeth,
glowing green eyes (at night) with slit pupils and a LMG on gyromout
make up for one hell of an intimidation factor.. (at least he stopped
from having his ears pointed and tuffed) Not to mention the mini amp &
speakers he had implated in his jacket attached to the sound effects
chip.
