WRONG! The new CAPO of Seattle is Maurice Bigio. Guys, this is the
second time I've brought this up. In the Underworld Sourcebook, you used
the term Capo to designate the Mafia headguy of a city/region, who's in
overall command of all Mafia families in the area. A Don is said to be
the ruler of a single FAMILY. Now, in Target:Smuggler's Havens and SR3
(and here, Steve) you've reversed that usage, making a Capo the head of
a family and a Don in charge of a city/region.

From what I've read, your original usage is correct - but I'm not an
expert. I would, however, really appreciate it if you'd get your act
together and find out which usage is right - and USE that one and only
that one.

Actually, it was the Underworld Sourcebook which is wrong. In common
police terminology concerning La Costa Nostra, a Capo is the head of a
'family', whereas the Don is the head of the Commission in a certain
city. It is Don Bigio, and Capo O'Malley. The head of all families is
the Capo di tutti Capo, the Boss of Bosses, aka the Godfather. There has
not been a Godfather since Lucky Luciano eliminated his rivals, and he
refused the title. The news media, though, gives the title to whomever
is the strongest in New York City. At the moment, this is John Gotti Jr.

I do agree with you, though. The terminology must be consistent,
otherwise we're going to end up with confusion. I also recommend Dark
Champions by Steve Long, for those who want more information about the
various types of organized crime.

Well, as my sources are mostly fiction, that could explain why I'm
getting it backwards. Anyway, thanks for the info.

Oh, one more thing for the ill-informed. David made a typo. That's La
Cosa Nostra. :)
