Right now I'm not sure how much about this being temporary it says again,
but from what I remember reading I'd suggest making the best of it while it
lasts :)

It is definatly out. Germany (I work in a RPG store in Berlin) has get a
hold of it around wendsday, so I thought it is also out there in the US.
Seems now that FanPro has it on its hands, the old world gets it all a few
days earlier.

It should be there in Your stores (given normal timecalculations) either at
the start of the week or around the middle. So long it has usualy taken to
get the stuff over here to fdrom the US. But my timefigures could be wrong,
depending on the deliverymethods choosen.
At least it should be out there at the end od the next week.

So what's stopping you? Spoiler space was invented for this type of thing.
Or is it the fact that you seem to be the only one with an actual copy of
the book? Because if that's it, then I'm pretty sure some of those who've
had YOTC for a few months now will join in and give you a discussion anyway.

Well, yes, normaly products have arrived here after about a week to ten days
after it first was published back in the states.
Of cuase, the netherlands will get it a wee bit earlier. Annyhow, reading
that You've had a beforehand look on it (Grummel), You sure can wait it a
bit longer than the rest of us :)

I'll post some things lster this eve (got to go to run a D&D Campaign in a
few mins), but does that mean YOTC was nearly ready for some time now?
Allways thought so, I'll guess that the main textbodies should have been
done already, given the fact that this book should have aired about 2 Years
in the past.
thats it, cu soon

YOTC was originally scheduled for GC 1999, but got delayed when FASA
decided to concentrate on the Updates instead and get them out of the way.

In February of last year (2000), FASA invited several of the Freelancers up
to FASA HQ for a 2 day brainstorming session to kick around ideas and to
decide exactly what all YOTC would encompass.

The writing on the book got underway in the fall, and was more or less
completed by the end of September or so, IIRC. It was set aside to await
final editing and a trip to the art department, and was slated to be
released in February or so of this year (2001). Unfortunately, FASA
decided to close it's doors, and all work was ceased.

Of course, from there, FanPro picked things up and Rob was hired to get
Shadowrun back on track (Very smart move). One of Rob's first moves (Along
with recruiting me to rush together a disgusting amount of Shadowrun games
and a tournament for Gen Con) was to get YotC sent off to some freelancers
for a final edit, and then to finish getting art and the layout of the book
done (This was finished shortly before Origins, and the book was at the
printers during Origins).

That answer your question? :]

Exellent, thumbs up than :))
On the other hand, good luck and fun playing at that wondrous CON. Hope
everything will be fine and not too much of stress...
Uhm, forget that, if You are responsible for some parts of the book, You'll
have to be punished.
Damn, too many fraggin' possibility *Grrr*
;)

Btw I find it a small miracle, that You guys over there get it that late, I
read in some BBS's that some Gamestores did'nt even knew that the SR line
was still in development. I realy do hope that this only was a starting
glitch.
