Hello everyone!

I just got on the list, so I'm sure this question has already been
discussed, but what do you think of the Third edition?
Why are there waayy more metahumans? It seems that they really want
people to play dwarfs: D priority and no more Quickness penalty?!
Also, I haven't yet played a session with my new character, but I
certainly have oodles of skills to work with.
It seems like the game will be pretty fun, I haven't read the magic or
vehicle sections yet.
Also, they're really hoping people will use Cyberpirates it seems - did
you notice all the new water oriented items?

Anyway, I just wanted to throw some stuff out there.
Let me know what your most/least favorite features are so far.

Jared

Pretty good, except for some of the stuff they left out hat IMO
should have been left in (like the skill web).

FASAMike's reason for that was that he compared the strengths
and weaknesses of the races, and found some to be A) weaker
than others, and B) having some disadvantages that were just
too big (like the Quickness penalty for dwarfs and the Willpower
penalty for trolls). The races that in Mike's opinion were most
powerful are at C priority, the others at D. (I specifically asked
him about this at the "What's Up With Shadowrun" seminar at
GenCon, and this is what I remember 3 1/2 weeks later :)

Did you also notice the abundance of Dwarves in the sample
characters...yes, I think someone from the Dwarf Rights Committee was
peering over their shoulders while they wrote this. (:
I myself am keeping the Quickness penalty to dwarves. My group liked
dwarves and played them under SR2. I think dwarves should just be slower.
One of my players is playing a Dwarf Adept...he's not fast...but when he
hits you...well, you'll know it...for a very very brief amount of time.

They'd've had to be standing on a stool.

And I wouldn't say there's exactly an abundance; there are 4 dwarf sample
characters. The other 4 races each have 3 sample characters.
