Subject: a aural masking question for cars
Date: Wed, 29 Sep 1993 13:20:07 -0400
I have a small problem. I was going through the Rigger Blackbook and noticed
that while they mention Passive aural masking, they don't mention active versions of the
same thing. So why mention "passive" in the first place. So my
question is this: do you have active aural masking in your games, and how do
you run it. The only modern equivalent(sp?) I can think of is damping the road
and engine noise inside the cab by using senesors and the car's stereo to
reproduce the sounds out of phase, canceling out the original signals/noise for
the most part.
