I just realized it might make giving me suggestions easier if I told
you what my group composition is. As it stands now:
a dwarven street samuari(with no wired reflexes and 4 muscle other
wise the same archetype)
a human pc made template that is loaded for bare(assualt cannon with
full armor pluss cyberdeck(well built) and several cybernetic implants
all made possible cause he took tech at 4)
a self made template whos great with unarmed or melee weapon combat
but not firearms and has minimal equipment
I also have three more people joining two to play some type of mage,
one to play a shaman(and judging by her personality a coyote shaman.
Well does that give any one further ideas?

SR Law Enforcement frowns on people running around city streets in
full armor and carrying assault cannons. Most of the time they'll
take down the perpetrator and ask questions later. Not to say that
the PC can't have the armor and AC (sometimes that Bear needs to be
taken care of :) but he should know the reactions that wearing it on
the street can cause.

Hint...
Long coats offer a decent protection, and can be used anywhere, 'cos they
look just like normal coats...

With lots of experience you should be ok but.

A few things to bear in mind : Initiative in combat is rather
important in SR, it helps if all but 1 or 2 of the PC's have
comparable average initiative scores (basically most of them can
expect to get the same number of actions per round most of the time,
usually 1 or 2 for those with wired reflexes). Until you know the
game well beware PC's with an average initiative greater than 20 they
can unbalance things. (you are ok up to the archtypes with wired 2
who go in 9 or 10 +3D6 faster and you get 'but they are all dead and
its my first action' syndrome)
Note the rules for lighting, cover, targets moving etc, SR's combat
system can be VERY deadly if you don't though it can similarly be 'oh
bullets bouncing off me' if the PC's have too much armour on.

As to an adventure to start with, an encounter with a street gang can
work as long as you try to encourage them to talk their way out, they
should be able to waste gangers in combat but not if they are
careless :)
The other thing that works well is the 'stock' shadowrun, 'you are
hired by Mr Johnson to break into the corp compound and steal
the..........'. A simple 2 storey building with a wire fence around
it, guard house with 3 guards (and a nice big panic button to call
the cops) plus carpark. works quite well. Populate it with the stock
corporate guard out of te book (i know the contact is hopeless but
hes still someone with a gun that needs taken down quickly, and have
a couple of backup guards someplace in the building for them to
fight, (use whatever pair of archtypes are most comparable to your
PC's the Mercenary or bodyguard arechtypes are good, tweak initiative
boosting as required to equal say your 2nd and 3rd fastest PC's, add
a mage if they have one, the combat mage would do if you give him an
armour jacket and if the PC mage has initiative boosts equivalent
boosting).

You will probably soon get the hang of it, be prepared to just run a
couple of 'system test firefights' if required first so everyone gets
an idea of the combat system with 13 years experience i don't see the
rest of SR being much trouble!

Which brings up a longtime question of mine:

Why do secure armors have equal armor values and better
concealability for less cost than the non-secure versions?

You can if you roll 8+ on a Perception test... Apart from that, you're
right -- SR armor clothing looks like normal clothes except when you take
a good look at it.
