Thank you both for the responses, that helps. Those are tough little

I think maybe I'll have the protagonists ram it with a truck, and see how
well it
does with a ruined vehicle on top of it :)

Actually, the rules for ramming are nice ones in this instance, IF, the
operator of the ramming vehicle isn't likely to get hurt either. BUT, I don't
think the rules for such are perfect, in that it doesn't really take a lot of
consideration into effect towards the comparison of one vehicle's body with
regards to another vehicle's body.

Hey, does anyone still have Adam G's remarks about how to destroy a MBT with a
Scooter around???

Umm, I'd pass along a warning, the darn thing could literally lower itself
underneath the incoming truck, as the darn thing is capable of varying it's
height,

There might be another way, have the team mage cast levitate on the darn thing
(target number of a 5, IIRC) and levitate the darn thing up a good distance or
use it as a missile of sorts against the people who sent the drone after them
in the first place.

That's the sweet thing about fiction. I can ignore the Body
irregularities and just have the poor little drone get mushed.
'Course, I'm sure the rigger operating the drone would have to
be occupied in some way to allow that to happen...

For th team in question, that's impossible (no rigger). What
about a really high rating jammer? Would that block the signals
to the drone and leave it standing there picking its tailpipe?
Or would it continue with its last orders indefinitely?

Actually, looking at the profile of it in the FoF book,
when compared to a human, it's a big little thing. And
a truck would have to be fairly high off the ground to
miss hitting the turret, or even just some of those
doodads sticking up from the turret. Anyway, that's
not the avenue I decided on.

Actually K was reffering to an example posted sometime on the old list last
year. In that example it was perfectly explained why a Bike with decent
speed could drive clean through a solid wall, while a tank would simply
shell out while he was trying to overrun a streetlantern. The SR gamessystem
for ramming is simply a mathematic procedure for calculating different
speeds and not the different sizes, stabilities and measures of the objects
that collide.
Shortly after that message was posted, some of the old listees tried to
build small mini-drones that there cheap and could simply fly through the
Banshee without taking harm. Well, that is as much as I recall.

A really high rating jammer would only hamper or prevent any new commands from
being sent to the drone. And as for the actions of the drone, most drones
either continue on with their last set of commands or default to a pre-
programmed course of action, it all depends on how evil you want to be.

Howdy all, I hope this isn’t taboo, but I’ve just got a few quick question
for this one, does anyone have some good SR to GURPS conversions, or
vice-versa? Also, for all of you out there what’s your opinion of GURPS?
Finally, anyone know of a GURPS mailing list?
Many thanks to all,

There is alot of unofficial stuff out there. Check out steve jacksons
official stie as a good sttarting place.
Personally I like the gurps system, and there are a ton of supplements out
there, and it is incredibly well supported.
Pick up the main book, the magic book, vechicle book, and a couple of the
hi-tech books, and you are well on you way to
having an sr gurps game.

I'd also suggest picking up GURPS Technomancer. Instead of magic and
technology not mixing, and entire civilization changes to accommodate it.
Magical factories, mass produced flying carpets, thew works. I know it gave
me some cool ideas for SR, especially the section on magic and the
military. I'd love to see the dragons in SR stand for what happened to the
dragons there...

I'd suggest multiplying attributes by x3, and not changing skill levels (if
you want heroic characters). (For SR to GURPS, that is :)

The rules work just fine, IMHO.
