If an adept has Improved Reflexes 1 (+2 react, +1D6 Init) and a level 3
Encephalon oe Cerbral booster 2 (+2 Int) or Musgle Aug 2 (+2 Quickness,
+2 Strength), does the adept get the reaction bonus from `ware? (ie, any
of the above will increase reaction by 1 through the stats used for
calculating them.)

Since they all affect attributes, I'd say yes, they would afect
reaction and still allow magical reaction enhancements.

Yes. Here's how:

Okay, we know that you can't mix-n-match reaction boosters. But the above
doesn't do that.

What happens is that the Improved Reflexes is an _increase_ to the base
stat. If you previously had a base stat of 4, you now have a base stat of 4,
with an increase to 5.

The Encephalon/Cerebral Booster/Muscle Augmentation all raise that base
stat. If you had the base stat of 4 before, you now have a base stat of 5
(with the Improved Reflexes giving you an increase to 6).

OTH, you couldn't, say, have a boost directly to the Reaction stat. That
would be mixing and matching.
