FASA has asked all of their approved playtesters to NOT distribute
the Neo-Anarchists' Guide to Magic to other people, and probably asked
them to sign something to that effect.
However, if you are going to BREAK THE LAW and distribute it,
it'd be pretty stupid to do so here on the list. Not only would it be
extremely simple for FASA's lawyers to be watching, it'd be even
/simpler/ for them to search the archives.
Yes, your message about having a copy is going to be in the
archives at HEARN for the next YEAR or more.
You run the risk of getting not only yourself sued, but also the
people who are ostensibly "in authority" on here -- which is our Fearless
Leader, Doctor Doom, and myself. And there is no question that a lawsuit
would involve shutting down the list.

Well then the next question is how do we become an "approved playtesters".
Its not like if we got a copy of it online we wouldn't buy one when it was
officialy released.

If they're still accepting applications, all you should need to
do is contact FASA and ask. However, I think I heard something about
that book being closed out by now.

OTOH, there is _no_ copyright warning in the NAGM. But I doubt that would
stop anyone from sueing (sp?) somebody over it.

Unless somebody happens to delete it... :)

Doesn't matter; it's still copyrighted under the Berne Conventions.

Not to mention the non-disclosure aggrement (which is a legally binding
contract) any playtesters signed to get the playtest version. You know, the
one that says you won't distribute copies of the material, etc.

In other words, if you're not part of an approved playtest group and you
have a playtest copy of NAGA, or you are and you've given copies to someone
who isn't, FASA's got your balls in a sling.

Exactly. And, if you're willing to take that risk even after all
our dire warnings, don't say anything about it on these mailing lists
'cause Hayden, Doom, and I don't want to risk being considered in any way
accountable for your actions.

And how would one go about becomming a playtest site/group??

I would be interested in play testing with my current group, and I
sure they would too.

Thanks in advance

Sorry I brought this whole thing up... I didn't realize the can of worms
that I opened...
