The lists have been moved to their new server, and appear to be working as
expected. This move has changed the addresses to send mail to the lists
from *@*********.org to *@*********.com. This is a permanent change, but
the *@*********.org addresses have been set so that they will
automatically forward to the dumpshock.com equivalents for the time being
to allow time for folks to get used to things.

Please report any strangeness that you see with the lists directly to
me. This move was a bit unexpected -- well, not unexpected, but it was
rushed a whole lot more than I would have liked so things may not be setup
exactly right.

Thanks,
-Mark

"Working as expected" is good.

Not a strangeness, exactly, but a question: Why the move to a new domain?
Couldn't the jackpoint.org domain have worked as well on the new server as
well?

This is my question too. As well as, "Was there a reason for a sudden
move, or did I just not recieve an earlier post about the upcoming
move?"

Ummm, not sure if this has been addressed or not by the ADMIN, but... Deep
Resonance is getting a bit of an upgrade, and this is part of it. :] I'll
leave the details to Mark and Adam :]

I've been planning to move to another machine for a while now -- the old
server was REALLY overloaded. The old server was going to have to undergo
an IP address change over the next couple of days (unexpectedly to me), so
rather than having two outages I decided to speed up the pace a little and
just have one.

Like Bull said in another message, this is a part of the grand scheme that
Adam, Bull, the rest of the Deep Resonance crew and I have been working on
for some time. We were trying to hold back on the name change to do it in
a more gradual manner, but things happened and it made since to make the
plunge with the lists at this time. Believe me, I was NOT expecting to
spend the time it took to make the move today any more than you were
expecting the move to happen, but it just made sense.

There are still a few quirks that I need to iron out (thanks, Jon!), and
if you notice anything other than the current Archive wonkiness, let me
know ASAP and I'll look into it.

Nobody expect the <squelch>

If someone wants to save me some work and send me proper complete URLs for
the different list archives... ;)

And if anyone knows where the main copy of ShadowTK is, let me know. It's
embarrassing mirroring an FAQ that I don't even know the location of in the
first place!
