I'll be unable to read or respond to any list related traffic at least
today, and possibly for a couple of days. I'm getting my eyes lasered
(LASIK) and while I expect to be back online tomorrow, it's possible that
it will take a few days for my vision to settle sufficiently for me to
use the computer effectively. Wish me luck! :-)

That's one heck of a coincidence. I'm having the exact same procedure done
tomorrow! So good luck, Mark-- and if anyone has some to spare for me I
could use it too!

Things never go wrong. They just don't always go according to plan.

There comes a time in every man's life when he has to look the potato of
injustice right in the eye.

I've got some to spare. I am done with my procedure, sitting at my
computer desk with the ugly "I just got back from the eye doctor"
wrap-around shades on skimming my mail. I can see things though I
am still a bit hazy. I'm really supposed to be in bed resting, but
I was desperate for outside contact. :-)

The people who said there is no pain were telling the truth. I had some
burning afterward (like when a really bright lite is shining in your
eyes) for a couple of hours afterward but other than that things are
great. I'll keep everyone updated, but I thought I'd just let everyone
know that I'm not completely blind, and thank you for the kind wishes.

Good luck, Dan!
