Bring this into the realms of SR relevance or let it die, please. This sort
of brushfire stuff is inappropriate, especially with the amount of traffic
the list has been getting lately.

Thanks,
Adam

No problem. .. what language are programs written in in SR? So if I wanted to
make something like this for my decker to upload to an LTG somewhere, I would
know what it could and couldn't do. On a more general note, I've heard a rumor
or two about matrix book(s) coming out. Will these go into more detail on
programming electronics, programs, and chips? Or would telling me give away too
much cool information? :)

According to NaCl(aq), at 18:44 on 4 May 00, the word on the street was...

The simple answer: None that matter, really. VR 2.0 mentions a few on page
96 (HoloLISP, InterMOD, MATCom, Oblong) but none of these have any
specific game effects. If you do want to have special effects for
different programming languages, take a look at NERPS: ShadowLore
(http://shadowrun.html.com/nerps) which has an article about them, though
you'll probably have to update its rules to fit VR 2.0 rules.

I'd say you don't have to worry about that...

There will be two Matrix books coming ou: one titled The Matrix, which is
going to be a rulebook, like MITS but for deckers, and the other is
Target: Matrix, which will be an in-character sourcebook like New Seattle.
