Hello,

It has always been list policy that replies should be placed under
quoted text, and quoted text should be trimmed so as to be relevant
but not overly long or obtrusive, with attributions preserved. While
I understand that some people prefer replying on top [and some
organizations and lists mandate it] I do not see a clear reason to
change to that style, and I firmly believe that either everyone
replies on the top, or everyone replies on the bottom, but when you
start mixing the two, UGLY THINGS HAPPEN.

Therefore, bottom posts are still the order of the day, today and
every day.

The list FAQ is woefully out of date, and I do not expect that to
change, but the relevant portion is still here: http://

Yep. I've been bottom posting on ShadowRN since 1995 using six
different email programs (and various versions of each). Even with
programs that default to top posting it just isn't that hard to use
the down arrow key :)

Um, shouldn't that be "Dark Lord on High"? ;)

According to Graht, on 14-7-06 18:26 the word on the street was...

If anyone can claim that title today, it would be Rob Boyle ... But I
kind of doubt even he can, since it originally referred to Tom Dowd, and
the jury is kind of still out (permanently absent is more like it ;) on
whether it could also be used for Carl Sargent, never mind Mike
Mulvihill ...
